In the past many drugs have been prescribed for lowering bad cholesterol. But a drug from Sanofi and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. offers better results for high risk patients.
On Friday, a first of its kind drug was approved by the Food and Drug Administration which lowers cholesterol that clogs the artery better than the drugs prescribed so far.
